pdh August 31, 2004, 03:12 PM Reciever pic pdh August 31, 2004, 03:20 PM Wish I could get the detail in one shot....sorry Johnpl August 31, 2004, 03:39 PM Nice wood..is it original GI? jobu07 August 31, 2004, 04:16 PM Beautiful stock on that one. How's it group? pdh August 31, 2004, 04:18 PM Roland built this M1 for me to be able to shoot in the "John C. Garand"matches. Everything is essentially "as issued"condition. But..the barrel is a douglas premium barrel which it duplicates the profle of original issued barrel...and he worked the trigger down to 4.5 pound pull which is legal within the rules of the match. He machines his own stocks and handguards from blanks and the stock he put on my M1 is the same as the "GI" issued stock. I wanted the my M1 set up just as "GI"issued.Nothing fancy. pdh August 31, 2004, 04:28 PM Well......I wish I could shot it as good as the 1903 :D My reloads..at 50yd in the inch range some groups alittle less a time. Grouping at 100yds will average in the 2 inch range. Never really got to serious with load development yet. With better load development and a better shot than I,I am sure it will do better. Vern Humphrey August 31, 2004, 07:19 PM Now stop this! Roland lives right down the road from me, and I have a rack full of Garands and Springfields, and if you keep this up, they'll all be in his shop -- and I'll be broke!:D pdh August 31, 2004, 08:12 PM Vern.....how lucky can you be being his neighbor. Tell him I am braggin on him and maybe he'll give me a good deal on working on my 1903A3 ! :D :D :D :D krusty311 September 2, 2004, 05:20 PM Very nice,I wish there was a smile icon that is drooling so I could use it now. krusty Vern Humphrey September 2, 2004, 05:23 PM Quote: ----------------------------------------- Vern.....how lucky can you be being his neighbor.
