IF the AWB sunsets. POST ban and PRE ban will NOT! dissapear should the AWB sunset.

IT WILL NO LONGER REFER TO 1994 Clinton AWB.

All goes well IT will refer to 1986 BAN. edit or 1989 sporting arms import ban.

Getting sick of people posting short mindedly that post/pre ban will go away. Job is not done yet. the 1994 Ban is still around and its important to keep on reps as soon as they get back from Vacation.

Phone,Email,Write your representatives.

Not so if you live in a commie state that has its own ban (Massachusetts, New York, some others)

forgot few sections of 1989 sporting purposes. though that bars Import not Domestic Manufacture. sure pre/post can refer to 89 as well. although 922(r) a pain, it puts bread on a few peoples table.

be nice to get some new manufacture machine guns made again that civilians can own and not just certain groups of people cause of occupation.

I just like reminding folks that we had "Pre-Ban" AK's and HK's before '94, that's all.

Not so if you live in a commie state that has its own ban (Massachusetts, New York, some others) Boston has an assault weapon ban. Massachusetts does not. MA does require state licensing of a particular sort, specifically a LCF Class A for "high capacity" firearms as they define it.

.A Class A license shall entitle a holder thereof to purchase, rent, lease, borrow, possess and carry: (i) firearms, including large capacity firearms, and feeding devices and ammunition therefor, for all lawful purposes, subject to such restrictions relative to the possession, use or carrying of firearms as the licensing authority deems proper; and (ii) rifles and shotguns, including large capacity weapons, and feeding devices and ammunition therefor, for all lawful purposes;

This is administered by the Chief of Police in each town, and can vary from what is effectively "Shall Issue" - Chief issues the license unless it's illegal to - to a ban. Typically any chief that tries to stop issuing LCF Class A gets sued in short order. In general the farther you are from Boston the easier it is, but not always.

The cruelest of ironies is that Massachusetts has more High Power, pistol, and other competitions than most states, and more than all the other New England states combined
