MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) -- A Muskogee man died Wednesday after he was accidentally shot in the chest by his roommate, police said.
David Ward, 39, died at a Muskogee hospital after a bullet his roommate fired inside the house went through the closed door to Ward's bedroom and struck him in the chest, police said.
James Kauffman, 47, has been arrested and booked on a complaint of first-degree manslaughter, said Sgt. Michael Mahan.
Mahan said the two men had not been arguing, and the shooting appeared to be an accident.
