Need some help from Makarov guys, ASAP

My brother bought a russian hi cap makarov today. He was comparing it to his Bulgarian one and he accidentally got the russian slide stuck on the bulgarian gun. Can anyone help with this? The slide works freely, it just won't come back far enough to come off the frame. Please help.
