I called up Millett yesterday and ordered a sun shade and replacement caps for my 3-12x44. The guy I spoke with mentioned that thier shop was "down" because they are in a pattent dispute. Knowing that my Millett is very close to Springfield I asked him if thier dispute was with SA, he wouldn't say directly, but he hinted at it and made a comment like "they dropped that design anyway so I don't know why they are being pissy about it."

Anyone know any details about this? I am overly impressed with my scope and it has a wonderful lifetime warranty, but man, if they get shut down that will suck.
