anyone sent one recently? like nov/2010? I heard they were turning around in "about 2 months".
 
I submitted a Form 4 (trust) in late August which took 3 weeks to go pending then around 10 weeks to get approved. It was well worth the wait!
 
It all depends on who your examiner is. Submitted one in September and just got it back. The four others that I got in the last couple of years were 60 days door to door.

First - stamps for suppressors are the same as for MG's and SBR/SBS's - there is no distinction between wait on an SBS and wait on a can.

I've been at 3-4 months on everything. Stuff that went in in November is starting to come back.

I think there should be a box on the Form 4 where you can request a specific examiner.

You can call your examiner and ask. BE NICE though so they don't push it to the bottom of the pile to spite you.
 
The examiner has everything to do with how fast your time is.

I mailed a form 4 on 12/30/10 and received it back in 46 days. Examiner was Santamaria.

I have another form 4 that was mailed on 12/16/10 and still nothing. Different examiner for this one though.
 
I HAVE BEEN WAITING IMPATIENTY SINCE DEC 7TH FOR A REPLACEMENT CAN STAMP BLOWN BAFFLE. AND NEXT STAMP FORMS SUBMITTED ON JAN 20TH. NOW DOING THE WHAT DO U NEED FOR FROM LOCAL S.O. AND LOST FORMS. cHEIF ASKED IF THE SHERIFF DENIED ME GETTING IT. UGHM NO HE CAN NOT SIGN BUT CAN'T STOP ME FROM HAVING.

I mean no disrespect but ................... HUH?
 
form 3 took 6 weeks, submitted form 4 mid jan. went pending 2/14 per call to atf. i was transferred to the examiner and asked about time frames. she (jones) said they have 4months to get paperwork out. i went through procedure 2 years ago and asked why if all info is the same (same me, same address, same no criminal record, same legal in my state stuff) why did it take so long? response basically--just because duh. :what:

and i don't want to hear from any armchair quarterbacks that i shouldn't call and inquire as it will slow things down--i am still a citizen and these folks are still working for us. if i owed the government money--how gentile would they be??:cuss:
 
Well finally got the notice today. went and picked up can. almost 4 months. But some of this was the post office time. In answer to huh sorry was working long week 80 hrs in 7 days. joy. oh well can funds.
My local s.o. was being and still is on fence for signing forms. His office staff were under impression had to have their permission for ownership of such devices locally. Tried to explain it was a background check and meet sign off. A chance to meet person buying items and see what type person they are. but thats my impression. As I told them this holds value and stocks dosen't so putting in as an investment and fun item. The short colt is paid for and well if won't sign then go as a trust holding so he is bypassed.
But either way hope to get a decision from them soon. so can go to next step.

SENT IN JANUARY 20. SIGNED APRIL 15TH PICKED UP APRIL 28TH
WHY DIDN'T I BUY MORE SUBSONIC 22 BEFORE UGH
ELEY WORKS GOOD LIKE A RED RYDER. :D:p:neener:
NOW JUST HAVE TO ORDER ONE FOR THE COLT AR 9MM
