Congressmen worry about people with guns around the President

This is stupid at the highest level. He is surrounded but people with guns all the time. The only difference is some of those guys are just looking for hookers and got caught. The rest didn't get caught yet.

I think that they (and I don't just mean Dems or African American pols like the article mentions) are afraid people with guns because of how they screw us all over as their regular operating procedure.

All democratically elected politicians take on increased risk as a function of their duties by people interested in the disruption of the democratic process.

That entitles them to paid armed protection on public dime, purchasing their own armed guards, or packing themselves. Other than that, they enjoy the same risks and protection that the poor elderly person in the ghetto gets. They DO NOT get to disarm the citizens around them and deprive them of constitution self protection. That would clearly be a double standard under the constitution.

The only reason this came to light is because someone did not want to pay. If he paid, no one would have known about it.

The secret Service deservers alot of respect. They do not care what party, or race, or gender. They do their job. Really well by the way. Thank you for your service, no matter who wins.

Perhaps they need protection because they are abusing the democratic process by there actions after election. You know, by not upholding the oaths sworn by all of them.

Another explanation?

Call me a "conspiracy theorist", but there are some who claim to be "in the know" who say there was no hooker scandal -- that what there was was a planned coup d'etat against Obama in Colombia by elements of his Secret Service detail.

The attempt was quashed, but the regime cannot afford for it to be made public, so they have fabricated the hooker scandal to deal with the agents responsible by drumming them out in disgrace rather than charging them with mutiny/treason/conspiracy.

Negatory. I don't even know who Alex Jones is. I didn't get it from any website, either. I got it in a personal comment from a lifelong acquaintance whose judgment I trust and who has contacts on those levels.

Yeah, the secret service tried a coup when Obama wasn't there by partying with hookers. Yup, I believe it. The same guys who tried a coup by checking out Sarah Palin's butt no doubt.

I worry about Obama around my guns

Beside the 12 Secret Service who got nailed for the hooker party, 12 or more military who handle secure communication for Obama have also now been implicated in the same mess.

YIKES - the entire presidential security force has been severely comprimised.... If I was Obama, I would stay home for the next 6 months or so. This is a VERY VERY serious breech.

I think, at a minumium, you would have to assume all secure communication is no longer secure... the hookers may have been foreign spies or other covert agents who "victomized" all Americans during this party.

Frankly, I hope Congress and Justice hold these individuals full accountable for these acts.

It was some hookers at a party, not the cuban missile crisis. The hookers were not spies, they were hookers.

Good gravy, some of you guys need to take a trip back to reality from time to time. The hoopla around this is politically motivated, nothing more, as it always is.

...Unfortunately, we have no idea who these hookers are.... these types of scams - using hookers as spies, have been used to infiltrate high security military locations since WW2.

...YEH, it could have been a set up by our enemies, including Iran, Cuba, North Korea, etc.

The hookers could have planted listening devices and other information gathering equipment to breach our security systems..... at this point, we just don't know.

You can be assured, the military is VERY, VERY concerned about this situation....

It would be inexcusable behavior for tractor salesmen on company time. For SS men it's a potentially catastrophic security breach. How tough would it be for an agent to hire a hottie, infiltrate the ranks of the service with something truly contagious and virulent, then wait for them to start vomiting lethal blood around the President the next day?

Guns are really the least of the serious threats faced by the President. The big boys use much more subtle means.
