Demand a Plan.

It's too bad I don't have the time...someone should post a response composing the actors 'demanding a plan' with shots from one of their movies where they wield a firearm.

Got a list? I don't want to watch their video
Using the list, can anyone research their movie careers and remake the vid? Lose the vocals, add subtitles. "Hi, I played (insert hero character, tough guy, secret agent, etc)"......"When a criminal attacks (you, your daughter, your husband, your mother, etc)"......with (a crow bar, a knife, a gun, their hands, etc)"...... "I will not be there to protect you. Who will?"

GREAT job on that video!!!!!!! The contrast between the actor/gun-in-hand shot is so compelling. This needs to go full-on viral. Bravo!!!

Here's the thing. I appreciate and even encourage people to have opinions contrary to mine. I am sharper of mind when challenged to defend my ideas.

This is a free nation. We are a better nation when ideas, big and small, are vigorously debated. I absolutely do not want to see foolish gun laws passed, but can certainly understand why my fellow citizens feel like something needs to be done.

Unless there is an egregious violation of core values, I will not endorse punitive actions because someone has an honest difference of opinion.

An honest difference of opinion is one thing. I know that most people don't share my opinions on everything, and as such it's not prudent to boycott everyone who disagrees with me.

The thing that makes this different, however, is that these people are actively taking a part in trying to change public opinion.

And what these actors are doing isn't debate. Repeating the names of prominent mass-shootings and saying that there shouldn't be any more isn't debate. It's blatantly capitalizing on emotion

And that is why I count this as an "egregious violation of core values". These people aren't trying to make a lively discussion about our RKBA, they're trying to use emotion to destroy the ability of me and my family do defend ourselves.

Had these actors came on television and invited gun owners to debate whether or not an AWB would have helped prevent the Sandy Hook shooting, it would be different. But this is just propaganda. It's trying to change the minds of the people who don't care either way by using emotion instead of facts.

I liked the video at first but playing a song called "Kill a Celebrity" in the background at the end does not paint gun rights supporters in a good light at all. I'm the most unoffendable guy ever but it doesn't help our cause.

Wow, really shows the hypocrisy. The media celebrates and justifies violence in ways most law-abiding firearm owners do not. I'm not one to point fingers in this situation, but if anyone should be criticized for encouraging the existence of a needlessly violent subculture, Hollywood should be criticizing themselves instead of legal gun owners.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=jrJjlPH1dqo this version doesn't have that "Kill a Celebrity" crap at the end. The maker of the vid should have used that old '90s punk song by Ned's Atomic Dustbin instead.

I think its High time we bring back the "Kill you TV" campaign

Something you should mention that. I've been eying one of those "Kill Your Television" bumper stickers to add to my G20 hippie van's modest collection after seeing one on a VW Westy some months ago. Maybe I'll get one now.

They're actively promoting a major curtailment of our rights, so they're well worth losing any of my hard earned dinero, and even the nicely done responses I'm seeing on Youtube.
Gotta shake my head at some of the comments I'm seeing, though. People have their blinders on pretty tightly.
