Makarov picture thread

Always wanted one. What'd ya give for it if you don't mind?

Here is my 1984 Bulgarian, with plenty of wear. I adore this pistol and will never sell it.

East German for $275? How did you get out the door?

That is going rate in 'Ole' Dominion'. Last one I have seen was priced at $279. It came with white box and two twelve round magazines. Often when it comes to pricing the county of origin does not matter to a dealer. The one I have seen was 9x18 and made at old IZH state arms factory.

I've currently got three Pistolet Makarovas - one "safe queen", one range gun, and one which I had Parkerized and use for pocket carry. I've also got a couple Berettas (and M9 and a Modello 1934), and a Smith & Wesson Model 637, and have owned a variety of other makes and models over the years. As far as I'm concerned, the Makarov beats all of them.

Careful. Pistolet Makarovas (be they Russian, Bulgarian, East German, or Chinese) are highly addictive. You'll become a "Makarovnik" before you know it!

Yes Erick--beautiful pistol! In fact, I had saved that top pic of yours a few years ago as my absolute standard for Makarovs! Good work!
