Anybody use this powder? Found some at the Hamburg PA Cabelas, knew it was AR powder so availability being what it is, bought the 2 pound limit. Is it good stuff?

I am interested as well. I bought one pound at the last gun show to try out. Haven't done a thing with it yet.

The description in Hodgdon's magazine makes it sound pretty awesome. Seems like a high velocity match grade powder. Then again, the manufacturer isn't going to say "our powder is crappy" in their own magazine

I believe it is the only IMR powder that is NOT temperature sensitive, and as ole farmerbuck can attest, it is a match powder.

All powder is affected by temperature to a certain extent. Some more than others...

I've tried it in several cartridges including 223 Remington and haven't found it all that impressive except in a 270 Winchester with 130 gr. bullets in which it's excellent.

Did you try it at or close to the max listed? It seems to work better towards the upper velocity charges.

I have several better than this but here's an example.

I had 2lbs of this stuff, sold it because I already have 2lbs of Varget and have 24lbs of CFE223 on the way. I already have sub MOA Varget loads worked up and I ought to be able to find a good load with the CFE223. But seeing that group I'm starting to question my choice to sell it.

dandy shooting farmerbuck

i bought a can as well, about a month or two ago when things were really crazy and the LGS had nothing but 8208 and nobody knew anything about it. i plan on using it in .308 and .243, and have high expectations
