Looking for a $350 mid-sized semi-auto for CCW

Most used Ruger P series or SR series can be had for the 300-350 range. Would not put them in the same quality category as SIGs but they are still very nice firearms.

I can agree. Since the P series has been so popular and widely sold, they're still likely to remain available at similar prices for a long time despite being discontinued recently.
 
1.A new gun comes with a warranty (usually) .
2.I didn't know S&W was garbage!
3.If I wanted a particular gun I would have no problem buying a used gun.
4.I don't want to argue, if you do sorry!
5.A NEW S&W S.D.9 OR S.D.40 IS MY SUGGESTED OPINION! HAVE A NICE DAY!
 
Can't put a price on your life. Buy a Glock , M&P, XD. That's 3 reliable 9mm or 40 cal guns that work every time. You want mil surplus guns, you get old used guns, they may work or not. If money is an issue, pick up a 38.
 
I will second the Sarsilmaz B6P C. I have the full size and should have 1000 down the pipe by next weekend and hasn't had one malfunction, even with the bunny fart 150gr swc loads i'm using. Also very accurate with the heavy bullets.

That's simply not true. I've had jams with all of them. The trick is to inspect for worn parts regularly and replace them as needed. Don't become attached to magazines; treat them as expendable items. After that, learn how to properly manage malfunctions.

Most of the "milsurp" guns I have are much higher quality than the ones you mention, are totally reliable, and accurate. Many military, or police guns don't see much used, or are in unissued condition. Like anything else, buy wisely. I carry my Bulgarian Makarov, and HK P7 BMI surplus pistol all the time.
 
I have never had a problem with a Glock or M&,P Kahr, or XD, Firing. Other things that may annoy me, but they always fired. We can only go by our own experiences when someone asks us for a recommendation. My experience with 20 yrs of Glock pistols has been nothing but excellent.I never had one fail to fire. Not as much experience with the other 2, but I do own them, and never had a problem with those either.
It's like asking which car you like better, anyone can get a lemon. But chances are if you stick with a brand name, it's less likely to happen.
I prefer a new model 19 for the extra $150.00 to a milsurp pistol who's history I don't know. The gentleman may or may not have the ability to pick up on worn parts that need replacing or other areas of problems about to occur.
It's fine if you know what you are buying, not so much if you are guessing. If I went back 40+ years I would say get a model 36 or 60 revolver, it's always going to work. I saw a 36 for 375 on gun trader last night, looked in perfect shape. By the way the new PPQ by Walther is a $350.00 gun that got great reviews for that price point.

Sig P250 - Subcompact - 9mm.

You can buy one used for under $300, WHEN you can find one. These little guys are the best little secret for concealed carry. No safety, great DAO trigger. Some hate DAO triggers, but this is a GREAT trigger for a carry piece. Long trigger pull, but buttery smooth and probably the best trigger I've ever seen on a concealed carry gun.

I love the p250, I had a full size and only traded it because I decided I wanted a compact. I still have the compact on my list to buy and I have half way shopped then lately. It does seem to me the price has risen. Not sure you can still get the for under $300
 
I don't have the expertise that the choir has, but I can tell you the sw shield I have in 40 cal. Is a great carry,shooting and hits your $350.00 on the nose. Would recommend to anyone. Good luck.
 
Assuming you are looking for a brand new gun, I have to say S&W SD9: I was impressed by hickok45 video on youtube. Seems a pretty accurate pistol for the money and I like its look also. Consistent ejections (one of the things I put more attention on a pistol). I can't understand why it's not more popular (bad heredity from the old Sigma?).
