IFC #410ARUM 410 Bore Upper Receiver for AR15 Lower

"might be fun" is absolutely a good enough reason, if you have a clear concept of how that fun will happen. Otherwise, it's probably best to redirect those funds towards toys that will actually leave the safe. I just have a hard time thinking of things to do with a .410 that would be improved...

New Sig P 365, looks interesting

You need to think about the possibilities. By discarding the case and powder, you fit at least twice as many projectiles in the magazine!

    Green Laser vs. Red Laser

colorblindness affects the ability to identify the color of light, not to detect it - bright is bright, dim is dim, doesn't matter what name you put on it. Further, lasers are necessarily only operating on one wavelength, which reduces the conflicting or confusing information that drives color...

    The Remington RP45

Well, there goes my interest. :/

    New R51, brief range report

It's based on a Pedersen design which barely worked to start with. Pair that with a manufacturer that doesn't believe that human QA is a value-adding part of the manufacturing process, and no amount of CNC can produce a reliable firearm.

Laser & Red Dot shotgun sight

Once calibrated, it seems like it would be most useful in a training and familiarization role rather than actual use. "THAT's my spread, at that door/tree/etc?" Also, I'm not sure it sits high enough. Maybe some extra rails and mounts can be used. Perhaps a ladder.

    What are these?

    Just a simple optical illusion.

Any real reason to prefer FMJ 38 SPC 158grain over LRN 38 SP 158grain

If your range requires jacketed/plated ammo, it's a fairly simple choice.

    Very Impressive .38 Special Load

So, here's the product page for what I think is being discussed (20H/20, not the milder 20A/20 in the picture): 38 SPL +P OUTDOORSMAN 158 gr. Hard Cast Keith 1,250 fps

    Ruger GP100 Lipsey's (Model 01768) Review

Both sets of grips look absolutely beautiful to me.

Rem 870 vs win model 12

Out of all the guns mentioned so far, one of them is in finite supply. I'd take a good, long look at those Model 12s.

    Bench shooting on glass

I wouldn't even do that much. "Don't shoot where you eat" - isn't that how the saying goes?

    Gunbroker new format

Website redesigns generally have more to do with what's going on behind the scenes than with what the reader sees. Staff changes, licenses expire, tools and technologies deprecate, security concerns emerge and evolve, and sometimes things must change - even be rebuilt from scratch - before they...

    Midland Backpack one-shooter?

    22lr pump action

I've got a Remington Fieldmaster 572 (built in the 60s, iirc) that I picked up off a consignment rack. Came with a cheap (but totally fine) Bushnell scope. Loads of fun to shoot, and the finish on it is incredible. Only problem is the firing pin that broke in two... stamped piece of metal. Need...

    10mm Super Redhawk

Sure you could - just get really big moon clips and clip half a dozen revolvers together for faster reloads. Gotta think outside the box.

    10mm Super Redhawk

That's totally legit, I was just expressing my surprise at how close the platforms as a whole apparently are.

    10mm Super Redhawk

Not disagreeing with your choice, but I did find this interesting: http://www.ruger.com/products/redhawk/specSheets/5001.html http://www.ruger.com/products/superRedhawkStandard/specSheets/5501.html Probably down to the grips, but still - an attempted apples to apples comparison (lowest model...
