An Adams Co. sheriff's deputy and I were talking on the night of July 2 while changing a flat tire and he told me that as of July 1, no permit is required to carry concealed in Mississippi and open carry is legal without a permit so I guess that makes us constitutional carry. Hooray!!!!!!!
Don't remember which, but I read or heard that Winchester is opening a new ammo manufacturing plant in Oxford in July. That's all I know about it, but I hope these new plants alleviate (sp) some of the shortages.
As to the arguement about whether the states or the feds possess 'the' power, one should read the constitution.
The last article(6 ?) says that the states can petition Congress for a Constitutional Convention (2/3 of said states doing so). In the past, when the feds made a law completely...
45 cg,
I suppose we'll have to wait for dps to write up the regs for this to know the particulars of it. Can you give us any info on these training classes? and where they might be held? Also costs?
Just curious.
They're still trying to close the mythical "gun show loophole" and that is what this is. Stinks doesn't it?
I would not expect it to fly in the Republican House but it'll get John McCain's vote in the Senate. Hope this gets killed.:barf:
And BTW, this is no loophole, it is a legal...
I assure you folks that being able to walk past a posted sign with ccw+ will in no way stop a property owner from being able to ask you to leave if he sees your gun and he doesn't want it there. This will only align us with other states where signs have no legal enforcement. I believe Florida...

Mine should have matching serial nos. also as it is all original but I can't verify that now as it is in my deposit box at the bank.
No night sights.
I am in Mississippi - the side closest to Texas!
If we need to talk again, pm me.

If you're looking for a S&W 6946, I've had one for about 18 years that I bought before the awb. IIRC, hasn't been fired more than 4-500 times. Has a Kramer horsehide iwb hoster and 4 mags with it.
If you're interested we ought to be able to do a ffl-ffl swap.
It has never...

Somebody needs to brush up on their reading skills. I just looked at the Miss. Highway Patrol's site and we are reciprocal with NC. Google their site and click on Firearm Permit Reciprocity.
You gentlemen are loading the little lady down with too much iron. I think she might be able to handle the 642 if you put lighter loads in it,i.e. Federal 125 gr. Nyclad hps or perhaps Buffalo Bore's 158 gr. lhp. Both of these loads are standard pressure.
Remember, it's one thing to have...

Hello jc2,
I am new to this forum, but I saw your post about wanting an S&W 6946. I have one that is in excellent condition that I am interested in selling. It has approx. 5 to 6 hundred rounds fired through it. :) I bought it in 93 and have not carried it much. I even have a...
