"Mine was gradual from childhood.
I decided a long time ago to never allow myself or my loved ones to be at the mercy of someone who has renounced their place in the civilized world."
Translation: 9/11 and subsequent events.
Sorry I can't aswer your questions but I have an interesting tid-bit of info.
I was watching the history chanel or something and there was a guy from smith and wesson. He said there was a poll of the general public asking what company made the best, or most, or most famous, or something like...
"this generation will not see the value of that gun"
"This" generation grew up playing WWII video games as well as being exposed to WWII through more traditional media (such as our families heirlooms) . I think we all want M1 carbines, garands, and 1911s. I know I do, and when I get them...

"A few paintballs in the face from 25 feet would stop any attack, unless the attacker is on some very serious drugs"
External drugs are not needed to shrug off an attack. Have you ever seen a boxing match or other "hand to hand" fighting? People can take much more than a few paintballs and...
"how are you going to feel if you accidently kill a member of your family or a neighbor. You're still libel for their injuries/death, even if it's an accident!"
Well if I don't write about it will it only be considered slander?
Sorry, could not resist.
