The one I had would rust very easily. I think it depends on who you talk to. I've heard from one of my local gunsmiths that Remington has had quality control issues since they changed owners. Quality control issues seem to be the big complaint when I hear anything bad about Remington these days...

Yeah that's normal. It has something to do with the welding. I've seen it on 590s and on one 870 police mag.

Dose the BPS ware out quicker with heavy usage then other pump guns? I read that someone saw a number of BPS shotguns ware out quickly do to heavy usage. He said they can't stand up to repeated rounds. Is this true? I know I shouldn't believe everything I read but you never know.:uhoh:

I think I figured out what I should do. Buy a BPS and get an Ithaca a little later on. Problem solved.;)
