I have a stock Gen3 19 that I bought new in June, 2012. I have shot 1,000s of Winchester USA (from WalMart), PMC Bronze, and Magtech 115 grain rounds and not one issue. I do clean my pistol on a regular basis, BTW.

For .243, Ramshot Hunter, IMR or H4350, H4831, and Hybrid 100V plus any 90-100 grain pill makes fine deer medicine...

.243 and 30-06

I've downloaded 30-06 with both H4895 and Trail Boss...2400-2500 fps with H4895 and probably 1400 fps with a "full load" of Trail Boss. Mild recoil with the H4895 and hardly any recoil with the Trail Boss, almost like shooting 22lr.

I own X-bolts in 30-06 and .243. Wouldn't have any other rifle for hunting. Both are very accurate, with the .243 shooting dime holes @ 100 yards with both factory and handloaded ammo.

Don't believe the "less recoil" bit...my FIL's .270 kicks like a mule compared to my 30-06, using store bought ammo.
