this is true, but it appears pretty much everyone knew what i ment.
it was slang for cheap, low quality, not too well made.
but as i have said i like the ones i have.
now the absolute worse SNS i ever owned was a Lorcin .25,didnt keep it long.
sometimes when you chambered a round,it would fire as soon as the slide came to a stop:what::uhoh::cuss:thing scared the crap out of me!
gave it to my uncle, under the condition that it NEVER leave his possesion and...
788Ham,i would give up coffee and cutdown on my smokes for a week if it ment another gun in the vault:D.
dont beat yourself up too bad,it was worth it!
i agree with you RC.but some people are dead set against .25 acp.
i have seen more threads turn into p***ing matches over that caliber than almost any other topic.
definatly not!
i just put it in because of the .25 auto round.
its one of my prize peices.when i got it,it was a bare frame with no grips or magazine.finish was completely gone and the firing pin was broke.
i completely restored it,and it is a sweet shooter!hasnt jammed at all after over 200...
:DOH YES!!!
i have a M-43 firestar.back in the spring my stepson traded me a s&w model 4506-1 for it.i kicked my self for about three months, then finaly talked him into tradeing me my firestar back.it will NEVER leave me again!!!
ok,before this thread gets out of hand,i am not posting a 'should i carry this' or 'how dependable is this' or even a 'which caliber is best' thread.
i wanted to start this thread to see if anyone else collected 'saturday night specials' or other 'taboo' handguns like .25 automatics.
i have...
you guys, those are some beutiful holsters!!!
i just partialy finished a pocket holster for my model 1908 colt pocket .25,and started a cross draw for my m-43 firestar.
in order to finish them both i want to add skin i tanned from a HUGE copperhead i killed 4 years ago.
the problem i have is...
i was just curious as to everyone elses routines.
myself,i clean mine after every sesion at the range of course.
but,i also get all of mine out, handguns and long guns about every 3 or 4 weeks and lubricate them all.as well as wipe them all down with a light coating of oil.
same here!
i have several pocket guns, but i wouldnt trade my .32 acp guardian for any other weapon!
sorry about the picture quality.crappy cell phone camera.
all of the above are excelent suggestions.just what ever you do,dont go with the taurus pt-22.my wifes is notorious for failing to feed, and i dont like the lever that makes the barrel pop up for loading.i have hit it with my thumb several times while fireing.
very picky on ammo.
Im not sure if you are talking about later production models, but i have a m-43 firestar.
i traded it a few months ago for a S&W 4506-1.
after 2 months of it eating away at me,i traded back and got my M-43 back.
it's one of the best, most dependable handguns i've ever owned.
a tad on the heavy...
i have .45 acp brass with large and small primer pockets.im going to reload them both, but do i use the same amount of powder with the small primers as i do with the large primers?
