Long Term Review: PSA Barreled AR-15 Upper (Part 1)

Long-Term Review: PSA AR-15 Barreled Upper (First Shots) Welcome to the first part of a long-term review of my new Palmetto State Armory AR-15 barreled upper. This review has no deadline, other than the upper breaking or wearing out, me running out of ammo, or the downfall of society as we...

Long Term Review: PSA Barreled AR-15 Upper (Part 1)

Welcome to the first part of a long-term review of my new Palmetto State Armory AR-15 barreled upper. This review has no deadline, other than the upper breaking or wearing out, me running out of ammo, or the downfall of society as we know it. Since I already have enough reloading components to...

    PPU soft points on game

Chuck at Alaskan Ballistics tested the PPU 139gr BTSP in 6.5mm on his channel. He runs a good channel that does well documented tests. The spoiler version of the video is the bullet he tested expanded explosively. For reasons unknown to me, I can't embed the video or post the link without it...

Loads for 230 gr Berry’s Bullets for 45 ACP +P

Previous Alliant load data shows +P load data for Power Pistol. 45 ACP +P is an accepted SAAMI standard, no one is "playing around" with it.

Loads for 230 gr Berry’s Bullets for 45 ACP +P

True Blue is one of the best performing full-power 45 ACP +P powders I have tried. Just use the load data in any of the recent Western Powders publications. If you want to PM your email address, I can send you an older Alliant manuel with more extensive load data than what is currently...

    Do I need a Sig P226?

If your plan is to load it with ammo and shoot bullets out of it then no, you do not. If you have the itch and want it scratched then yeah get one. The real question is, do your have a habit of buying a gun, using it a few times and then letting it gather dust for years? I think they're good...

Does BE-86 render Power Pistol Obsolete?

I was a bit tongue-in-cheek, but AA#7 is a really good powder for pushing velocities in semi-auto cartridges without the drawbacks of PP (concussion, flash, supply).

Primer Go no Go Primer Pocket Gauges.

Discovering the occasional, and I mean the occasional piece of brass with a loose pocket is far more time efficient my way than checking every single primer pocket. I also save time by never: - Sorting brass by how many times it has been fired - Separating brass by what was shot by my gun and...

Primer Go no Go Primer Pocket Gauges.

This is the standard I use as well, and have yet to see a good argument against it.

    Beretta APX

The typo was the question mark at the end. But this isn't English class, so I digress.

I think you're the one who needs to take a deep breath and let it go. It was a silly post, not directly asking anyone the question, and the round count you dropped was quite low. I don't typically emphasize round counts but I shoot at least 10k a year and have been doing so for over a decade...

2k rounds is pretty low for a call out post on other shooters. Mine is closer to 3k, but I'll wait a few thousand more before I start asking people if their guns even have holster wear yet.

I drifted my front sight a bit, and yes, it was a pain to move it. I used a hammer and brass rod, and tried both the front and rear to see if either was easier than the other, and it wasn't.

    Let's talk 2011's

Well it depend what division you want to shoot in. 9 Major isn't allowed in limited, only open. But that's a different, and more expensive, 2011. Limited minor is fine for lots of competitive shooters who shoot level 1 matches and enjoy themselves. I wouldn't do it though, and USPSA has been...
