    Kimber Aegis vs????

This is exactly the information I am looking for. I want to know if the Kimber is worth the expense, when I really like my SR9c so well. The Kimber is almost $1000 more. The money is not a concern if it will hold it's value. I like the way it feels in my hand, I like the way it looks, which...

    Kimber Aegis vs????

Some good points. I don't know much about 1911's. I've never owned one.

    Kimber Aegis vs????

I need some input before I potentially waste several hundred dollars. I am going to be as honest as I can be, because I know there will be some honest replies. I currently own a Glock 26 (gen 4) and a Ruger SR9c. I started off IWB with the Glock but didn't like it, so I am carrying the...

Too focused on grip width for IWB? pic

Kimber Aegis vs?? I moved this to it's own thread. I couldn't delete the whole post.

    Walter PPX 9mm

Look in to the Ruger SR9c. With smaller hands it may be a good fit, and the price is around what you are looking for. I shoot it better than my G26, and I like the fact that it has a safety when I carry.

    Ar around 800$

Does that include the $50 rebate? It's what I paid with the rebate. Sorry, I am referencing the DPMS Oracle. It's my first AR. Looking for a small, variable optic that would fit in with the price of the gun. ...any ideas?

    Need solid advice (S&W SD9 VE) 9mm

The trigger has to have been the worst you could pull. That was two years ago. By the time the trigger pulled over, you had to be on target FFFFFFFOREVER! I hear that with a trigger job, relatively inexpensively, it was a decent gun. That's my experience. If you wanted it to shoot at...

M1 carbine or Hi-Point carbine : Which one?

The sound that you want to have if you have no desire to shoot an intruder is the "chuump clink" of a pump shotgun. It's a distinctive sound that leaves little room for doubt. I think too many people are looking forward to confrontation rather than avoiding it. The way I see it, if an intruder...

I have absolutely no idea of what you are talking about, but I am listening.....

    Rookie AR Questions

I have to stay under 1000 including optics. Shooting distances longer than hunting distance (300 yards or so) is not important, just fun and doesn't mean a damn thing. It's kind of like shooting my bow 125 yards just to see if I can hit my deer target when somebody else shows up to shoot, ya...

    Rookie AR Questions

Thanks for the response. I received some really good info and appreciate it very much. I appreciate the time some of you spent to write up a reply. I will start looking into suggestions.

    Rookie AR Questions

I think it's time to jump into the AR's a little. I know nothing about them except for the fact I shot an Armalite 30 years ago and thought that it was the coolest thing ever. I was reading the AR build thread and was totally lost with all of the lingo. So, I am just going to ask for help...

    SR9c OWB suggestions

Great. Thank you all very much. I am going to look through them pretty closely. It's too bad you can't wear a couple for a few days to see what works best. I do know that I don't like IWB. I am finding that I need to change my shirts to longer dress shirts or long t shirts. Heck, I may...

    SR9c OWB suggestions

Thanks. I appreciate the links. I really like the looks of the Rosen holster. I have seen those holsters mentioned a lot here. I have heard that kydex is a good option, but I am old school enough I still like leather.

    SR9c OWB suggestions

I've been carrying some for almost two years. My first carry piece is a gen 4 G26. I've been carrying IWB, 4 oclock strong right side. For the most part, when I travel, I sit the holster in my console because it's so uncomfortable. I teach so I can't carry at work...I wish I could.....but...

I would love to own an acreage with this many hogs

Around here, anytime a hog is sighted, black ops helicopters with invisible blades and silent engines go out and kill every dang one of them. At least that's what I've heard...Personally, I think it may be the aliens. Either way, there's not many left when those whirley birds disappear in the...

    Gender Preference?

LOL at Border Hoppers comments...the best retriever I ever had was a female boxer. She chased a ball a lot as a pup, and one day I decided that I would just let her tag along on a dove hunt. It totally blew people away that I hunted with. She was a lot of fun. I prefer a female Brittany...

.243 for deer: what bullet type/construction?

100 grain remingtons...another vote. A .243 will kill pretty much anything that isn't trying to kill me! In other words, I don't think I would take one on a grizzly hunt, but it's my dream to shoot one with a bow. I think I would trust the .243 a little more, to be honest!

    Hogs Gone Wild

DNS, nice link with the blueservo.net site. I have never seen that one. I haven't been around hogs a lot, but the ones that I have I trusted less than any mean "mama" cow that I have been around.
