Got the GI model last year. Great gun to shoot. Eats 230 gr fmj as fast as you can pull the trigger. Accurate. mine don't take to HP too well, has a problem chambering the HP. But it was made to to take FMJ and not HP anyway. ;)

Get a Ruger P95, American made and will shoot anything you feed it. very accurate. Love mine.

100 rounds of 45 or 9mm depending on which weapon I bring, or about 150 rounds if I bring both weapons. Somewhere from 50 to 100 22 lr rounds.

Fired a 115gr JHP and a 124gr JHP into a trash can full of water. They both expanded well, with 124 gr just a tad larger than the 115 gr. Being here on Mississippi gulf coast, folks don't have a need for alot of heavy clothing that BSA1 is talking about. Thanks for the input.

I have some 9mm ammo HP from Freedom munitions and some from Reliant ammo. Is there a way to test them for expansion? I thought about using some water jugs and or a wet phone book. Any ideas? :confused:

I shoot Federal 45 fmj and 9mm fmj, never had a problem with any of it. Could of been that one time oops.

I shoot 100 rounds of 45 fmj (new) in my Ruger P90 and 1911. All rounds fired and the accurancy was just as good as the brand names. The ammo was cheaper even with shipping,than wal-mart wwb ammo. :)

Same thing at our Walmart, prices went up on all ammo. I now buy mine on line.

A 1911 or Ruger P90 45cal. Do carry a 38 in the truck with 158 gr JHP.

Got a taurus 38 special model850 CIA, hammerless. Great concelled pistol. I keep 5 rounds 158 gr JHP in the sucker. Shoots great, under 25 feet. :)

Got a old Rem 700, shoots great, 3 rounds in a size of a dime at 100 yards. Shot a bunch groundhogs within my day. 55 gr pointed soft point.

I have the same 45 as you. Mine shoots right on at 3 yards, low and to the left at 8 yards reguardless from a rest or off hand. The pattern is very tight at both distances. I put about 200 rounds through it:what: so far.

Anyone have any suggestions on a inexpensive leather or nylon pancake holster for a full size 1911? I would use now and then, not to often. Like to find something in the $30 or $40 range if possible. Thanks in advance for any info.
