I sincerely doubt that 30k rounds has even impacted that barrel at all. As long as it has not been abused, it is probably in pretty much new condition. A new barrel simply for the sake of replacing it would be a waste of money imho.

I would say send it back to Sig too. I have never heard of anyone else with that problem, and your sig should be flawless. Obviously, it isn't, and Sig will fix that for you.

I use a smartcarry as my primary mode of carry. I am wearing it now, actually. It works for some, while others don't like it. I personally have found it to be the best method for the way I dress, which could best be described as casual.
