    building race gun

+1 on the *** a 45 open gun... but hey to each their own... I have used both an Aimpoint & a Cmore - the Cmore seems to give me less "tunnel-vision." When I shoot a tube type red dot I seem to lose my peripheral vision but I don't with the Cmore. Good luck & lets see some pics when you are done!

    First time hatcam

Thanks JM I will work on getting pics of my set-up... I was wondering about the high gain antenna... does that eliminate the need for LOS? That is the biggest thing w/my videos... or the reason for most of the interference & lost frames. I didn't even think about the need for line-of-sight &...

Yar - cool videos! After watching yours I ordered & received a "booster vision" camera set-up... then I thought to myself that I should have asked you for more information on your set-up! What are you using for the video camera & how do you have it set-up? Jmorris has his booster vision in...

What's the 'classic' IDPA ESP gun?

IMHO the best & "classic" ESP gun is a 9mm Steel Frame 1911. Why? B/C of starting w/ 10 rounds (9+1) in the gun. The next time you shoot SSP or CDP... see how many times you shoot 1 round on a target, reload & re-engage that same target. Many stages are 10 round friendly!

    IDPA pistols

Good call Jim, While you are waiting for the book to come in the mail hit the main site and look at the "new shooter manual" & "how to unload and show clear" pages. These two areas are extremely helpful to have a safe and fun shoot! http://www.eastontacticalops.com/

Any good IDPA CoF you'd like to share?

Looks like a fun stage although not IDPA "legal" given the number of non-threats. Alternatives to the high number of non-threats is to add hard cover either by barrels, walls, or on the target itself to make the shot more challenging.

    IDPA rules question- holsters

What was that line in Saving Private Ryan ... "... ours is not to question why, but to do or die ..." Many of the rules of IDPA don't make complete sense nor are they all tactically sound. It seems that some are just so as to be NOT IPSC related. It is a game, it is fun, I like to shoot so I...

Help Choosing a 9MM For IDPA????

IMHO Glock is the way to go, I would discourage against the 19 if you want to be competitive. My girlfriend started with a 19 and did well but I switched her to the 34 and now she is kicking some serious but! You can find G17's for under 500 if you look. Heck I just picked up a used one for...

    USPSA/IPSC Holster Recommendations Needed!!

I shoot w/a comp-tac locking paddle for USPSA production & IDPA and love it. It is the fastest holster I have tried for the glock. One question though... why go w/a holster like this for limited and not a ghost holster or CR speed?

    Trying ipsc after idpa

I think you should go for it! I love IPSC shooting I spend 2 weekends of the month shooting IDPA and 2 shooting IPSC. Personally I chose to go the production class in IPSC as I shoot SSP in IDPA and the same power factor for both - floor is 125pf... I shoot about 129 out of my G35 and it is...
