I have a 2" 15-4 and I paid $325 for it. I would rate it a 95 out of 100 and I would have to say it has the sweetest trigger out of all my revolvers.

I just picked up a 6" 15-4 to go with my 2" 15-4. Both are some of the sweetest shooting wheelguns I have ever owned. :D

I am in the same boat. I only have one semi-auto left (Kimber CDP Pro II) and all the rest are wheelguns. It is nice not to have to pick brass off the ground too! I guess I just love the .38/.357 caliber!

I came really close to getting an SP101, but steered away from it just because of it's horrible trigger. I called a master gunsmith that I was referred to and he told me it would be $120 for a real smooth trigger job.

I had one for a few weeks and it was comfortable to shoot except for the trigger. It handled 125gr. Remington's and Hornady's pretty good. I sold it. I guess I am spoiled on those smooth broken in S&W triggers!;)

I had one of the more recent 1911SC's and while it was light and felt good in my hand I did not like the recoil while shooting 230gr. bullets, therefore I traded it.

Very nice grips indeed. I am headed over there right now to order some for my 6961 and 15-4!!

I use the same bullets and load them for .38 and 357. Exactly. They are pretty accurate too!:D

I thought the 15-4 was kind of weird when I saw how big the wooden grip was, but after holding it and dry-firing it I really liked it. Both revolvers are tight and there is very little play in the cylinder. I already bought a set of Lee 44Spl. dies, 200 empty brass, some bullets and some factory...

Picked these up this morning. I have not cleaned them up yet. I paid $350 for the 696-1 and $325 for the 15-4. I am dying to shoot the 44Spl!! I need some nice wood grips for the 696-1!

I thought about that, but since it does it with factory 357 and 38Spl ammo my guess would be something else is going on.

I think taking it back to my dealer and having him send it to S&W is the best idea. I want to keep it for sure.:D

No, it is random. What I noticed today though is if I fire it really fast it will only lock up once. It's pissing me off because I really like it and want to keep it.

Hmmmm.....something I did not realize. Perhaps I should try some more factory loads, but I had problems with those as well.

Thanks for the advice. I checked the endshake against my 686 and 19-5 and they are almost identical. I have to go to my gun shop tomorrow anyway so I will deal with it then. On a lighter note, I am impressed with the accuracy of it. I shot some more of my own loads today and wow can that thing...
