My Old Ruger GP100/I'm Losing Interest

You just need to change your approach to how you live your life. Who gives a crap what other people do or think of you. I sure as hell don't. I love my semi autos but I have plenty of wheel guns also. Heck, it's quite fun to go into the range with my Smith & Wesson 629 44 mag and touch off...

    Interesting Glock failure mode

I was at a long range precision rifle match last week and witnessed a Harris bipod break in half. A critical part simply sheared, and the legs fell apart from the mount. Everything will fail. No reflection on Glocks or the ammo used. Probably just fatigue from hundreds of thousands of cycles.

Is WD40 Long-term Corrosion Inhibitor good to use on guns?

WD-40 will absolutely gum up a gun once the solvent dries out, but this new product from the WD-40 company should be fine for long term storage of guns/.

Guns you think should be discontinued?

I know I'm late to this thread, but who the hell are you to try to decide what someone else needs, doesn't need, and what should be made!! I know it's just your damn opinion, but honestly, who the heck cares what you think should be made or not. Not everyone is like you, thinks like you, or...

    Rifle Retirement

Man, don't sell that 600. I just overhauled one for my father. There couldn't be a better hunting Carbine made. Ours is in 243 caliber and has taking many deer. I put a timney trigger in it, resealed and waxed the stock, installed a new scope and it shoots 1 inch at 100 yards. It's...

Can someone explain this to me?

Buy the assault weapon ban version for the novelty, but understand the LEO only markings carry no actual legal weight at least in "free" states.

Bass Pro closes gunsmithery and Fine GunRoom in Denver

In my opinion, it's a good thing Bass Pro is out of the gunsmithing business. They really had no business being in that business in the first place. A big box retailer that sells mostly the mass produced mid quality product on a mass scale just doesn't seem like it would have the right...

Attaching swivel sling to Magpul MOE Stock

Use the Paracord. Doesn't matter what the hole was meant for. improvise and overcome. You will not break the Paracord.

    Bushnell LRHS

I can compare them for you, but the LRHS is an excellent scope. I've had mine since they first came on the market and absolutely love it. If I recall correctly, GA Precision has some input into it's design.

    G20 10mm w/ .40 S&W conversion?

I can vouch for the quality of the KKM barrel. They make top notch stuff and are highly regarded.

Marlin has new 45-70 model - GSBL

I'm almost afraid t ask this question, but has the quality of the Remington Marlins improved in the past few years? I have a number of older Marlins and love them, but seem to recall a lot of "Remlin" bashing based on the initial products put out after the Remington takeover of Marlin...

    gun-related names for boys?

My son had a friend named Colt Smith. Always made me think of both autos and revolvers.

Just tested my new 7.5 Swiss Match Rifle

That's a great rifle and great idea. Thanks for sharing. I recently was bit by the K 31 bug and acquired three K31 rifles and have bought about five cases of GP 11. what a fun and accurate gun to shoot.

Any good spotting scopes for $50 at Cabelas?

With glass, you pay for what you get. It costs $$ to for good glass and also for the mechanical around it. Assuming you do your research and aren't stupid, paying more will most always get you more. Also, buying cheap will always cost more because you WILL be buying again as you move up...

    Left handed rimfires?

Search out a CZ 452. Well worth it.

    New keyring fob...

Nice gun and very nice shooting, but next time at least use a pre-1982 solid copper penny.[emoji12]

    Frustrated!

My bet it's the scope. Even though it's a low end Weaver, it still has a lifetime warranty for the original owner. Send it back to Weaver and explain the problem... My bet is that they just ship you a brand new replacement. Then, sell it and upgrade! Just my .02.

    .22lr MEGATHREAD

There's little to nothing that interest any longer me about Bass Pro or Cabelas. Sure they have lots of inventory of stuff...mostly from China. Ammo is available lots of places and from much better retailers. Guns, no way would I every by a gun through them...I've come to detest these big...

    Leupold Chinese Clones ?

I can't believe anyone would go through the effort to sell a rifle for $900 on the internet and then just "throw in" a scope worth $1000. You may choose to believe this, but not me, no way...just doesn't happen. Playing clueless is always their first line of defense. Good that it all seems...

Individuals who exploit firearms industry to turn a buck?

Heaven help us when members of this forum can decide what other gun owners should be able to buy or even browse on the internet.... I will probably never buy anything from Jessie James (I don't really like his sense of style or design), but I certainly don't see it as "exploiting" the gun...
