I bought one because it was a pistol to go along with with other military surplus firearms. Most people spend more on junk food in a month or two than the price of the pistol. Get one just because you want it because it is not justifiable otherwise.

Thinking about giving my collection to someone in another state. All are C&R. About 10 rifles and 6 handguns. I know I will need to do a dealer transfer in his state, and I would like to do them all at one time. Is that possible?

I have a used 70's era 1100. Did not cycle as you described. Seal was on backward. Easy to check and fix. Hopefully that is it.
