Ok, now that I have done some ammo testing, I think I have figured it out.
1. The Velocitors have very poor accuracy and are very loud (also pricey).
2. The CCI stuff all works pretty well, I like the Stingers the best for 50+ yrds.
3. The CCI Subsonics will be my first choice for...
I have heard from several that the pumps are great (almost the same as an 870 but cheaper). Also, they don't rattle like the Benelli Nova:D. Can anybody give me a report on the CD semi-auto? Honesty means more than hear-say. :)
Both of these guns are priced the same. Wich one is the best? I' looking for honest opinions not hate talk because they aren't one of the "B" guns. Thanks.
The Deer Hunter, What shotshell size and shot # was he using? I have heard from several that at least #BB or #BBB is needed and some even say #T shot. I haven't been able to find any of these for the 20 gauge. If you find out, please enlighten me, I won't buy a 12 if I don't need too. Thanks.
Pete 409, have you any idea's where I might find a selection of #BB or #BBB in the 20Gauge format? What about some nice #T shot in 20? The only reason I am considering a 12 is because I have not found these yet myself. Any help would be great, then I only need to buy 1 gun and can spend more on...
Well, I'm no sky buster as I prefer my 20 Ga for most anything. Just talkin' to some guy at Bass Pro (not an employee) and he was telling me that you need all the shot and power available to down geese. He says steel shot makes the power less (and cold weather). I haven't done any goose hunting...
Just was lookin' at some CD pumps and semi-auto's and I think I'm going to get one of each (the wife said o.k.). I was thinking of the 28" Bbl 20 Ga semi and the 26" Bbl 12 Ga pump. They seem to be a well made peice, but I'd like to hear some thoughts or opinion's about them. What about the 12...
I purchased a SPR-100s earlier this year. I found after patterning that the forcing cone and the choke where drilled off center. This is apperently a common problem in current Remingtons. Although mine was actually made in Russia. So I contacted E.A.A. in Florida as I was instructed to and they...
I am not happy with my SPR-100s or the cutomer service from E.A.A. . Should I just get a Benelli Nova or Super Nova? I want one gun that will do it all. I like the 20 Gauge, is there a combo set in 20? Thanks.
Thanks for the feedback
Oldnamvet, you are insitefull. I really like the Stoeger Competition.
It would see less than 500 Rounds per year. I would like a rock solid performer vs. a pretty boy "contender". Fit,Form,Function=Value.
Recently saw a nice Rem Spartan O/U, also saw a Stoeger O/U.
Both were the 20Gauge Sporting/ported models. The Remmy felt
a little tighter, but both seemed equal in value(Visual insp. Only)
Happened upon a nice Charles Daly too. Not much info to be
found on the Stoeger though. Like to hear...
I think the Quick-Shok would best be used on Crows(Due to Rapid Expansion),
however I don't know the results with the Velocitors(yet:evil: ). I would like
to find a suitable round for slightly tougher game animals like woodchucks or
other heavy small game or varmits 5-10+lbs. I belive that 1...
Howdy!
My freinds call me Robneck.I like camping, fishing, hunting, cars and my wife.
I spent a few years in the Navy(in a program that doesen't exist:cool: ). I came
across this forum several times(Probably more:) ) before deciding to join. The
discussion's are pretty good, So I figured what...
10mm For light weight/concealability(Glock 29).44mag for the hipster.
Oh yea,357's rule!
P.S. 9mm's Suck. 40's are the weak-wristed choice of 10mm.:neener:
I can "drive tacks" @100Yds with my Savage MkII, right out of the box!
If'n ya got more money ta spend, go for the stainless bull barrel. Sweet
gun, the Accu-Trigger is great. With a nice scope and rings, you'll only
be down $250-300 bucks.:D
Thank you for the reply Ben. Although, I'm still curious as to what the
results of the Barnes(Mabe Custom Load) would be. I have E-Mailed
Barnes, asking about possible production of this round. A Continued
and dedicated following may result in a new option for the 22LR
hunter(s).I was...
Has anybody heard of a Barnes Triple Shock being loaded for 22LR?
I know they make a .224" dia. 53grain bullet, but don't know if a 22LR
can "toss" it hard enough for proper expansion/penitration. Mabe I'm
being "unrealistic" but I think it would expand the 22LR's Effectiveness
for...
