    Springfield Armory XDM-45 in 5.25"

Since when are they $1300? Maybe if you've got to be the first guy to get one, and pay stupid prices on auction websites. Retail I've seen is a little under $700 for an XD-m 5.25 9mm. What's a new Glock 34 go for, $600, maybe slightly under? Wow, that sure is a big difference, wonder how much...

    Back Orders on 1911's

I'm waiting on a Springfield Loaded Parkerized, seems to be unavailable at any of my dealer's distributors at the moment. Hopefully soon. :)

Ever have a pistol you just can't shoot well?

For me it was a Glock 19. I tried and tried to love that gun, and just couldn't get there. I could shoot REALLY tight groups with it, almost as tight as my 226, but they were always shifted to the left. Drove me nuts, 2-3" at 15 yards without fail, and yes I checked the sights and had others...

Know anything about Sig 220's at CDNN?

You may hate DA/SA, but lots of people like it. And SIG has always been kind of synonymous with DA/SA platforms. :)

    Paranoid about my gun...

I think alot of the QC issues people bring up about SIG are overblown. I'm sure that there has been an increase in problem with new guns recently, but I still think that's a miniscule portion of the actual number of guns produced. And from what it seems, most of the problem are in reference to...

Know anything about Sig 220's at CDNN?

P220 SAO w/ Night sights, aluminum grips, and two mags for $650 is a pretty damn good deal for a new SIG. If it had a tail I'd be all over it.

    Full Size 9mms

I really don't think that the P7 should be considered a full size auto. I think it's firmly in the compact category. My choice would be the BHP if I could get one of those fancy Ted Yost or Novak numbers. Man those are nice.

    More popular?

Does any LE agency even issue the 10mm? Far and away the .357 is more popular in terms of usage. Although every gun enthusiast seems to have a hard-on for 10mm cause of the power potential. :neener:

    Sig P250 Actual owner reports

It double fed twice in the first 50-100 rounds, and hasn't since (close to 500 through it). Sig has been telling people it needs break in (up to 500 rounds depending who you talk to). It'll hold 16 rounds, but I load them to 15. It takes a decent effort to get the 16th round in, and I just...

    Sig P250 Actual owner reports

I bought one for my fiancee, and I like it. Pros: Night sights on all of them, incredibly smooth trigger, nice ergnomics, small for it's capacity (with the small grip module, it's very thin for a double stack). Neutral: Will take some time to master trigger. Cons: Comes with only 1...

I hate these kind of threads, but......

I just bought a 22/45 Hunter with 6 7/8" barrel. Awesome pistol. At 15yards, it does 3" groups without even thinking, just blasting away. Disassembly is quite easy I think, sure it's not like a Sig or Glock, but it certainly can't be called hard. ;)

    Walther P22 Opinions

So, when you say that because you've seen 4 that don't work, and therefore they're junk, that's not at all misleading?

    HK P7: I think I want one

Yea those P7M13 are seriously expensive. I would go for the P7M8 if I had the money, they are incredibly accurate and wonderful to shoot. I've thought about getting the P7 with the heel release, but I know it would always bother me not going for the one I really want, the P7M8. So I just need an...

    Sigs

I did informal action shooting with my 226 Navy. We had 8" steel plates setup at 8-10 yards, you load one mag with 6 rounds (for six plates) and draw from a holster trying to run them as fast as you can. If you miss you have to reload. I was second fastest of the group, but it wasn't like we...

    Sig P220 Or S&W 1911

If I had to choose, it would be between the S&W Scandium Commander, and the military over 220 Carry SAO that's been around a little while. I have no idea which one I'd choose though, they're dead even to me. :D

    Walther P22 Opinions

I love all the potmetal commments, like what do you think it's going to be made out of? A full slide out of stainless wouldn't cycle with 22LR. Take a few cases of the slide breaking (not the only gun to do that), add a little internet hype, and you'd think these guns explode when you look at...

    SIG P-Series Cheat Sheet

A few nitpicky details... :) The SAS is not a trigger option, it includes the DAK trigger. It's SAO, not SOA. All current models have milled stainless slides. At least on supplier websites they list the P250 in 9mm, .40, .357, and .45 although they're not available, I would imagine rather...

    First 1911 help for a 1911 newbie??

I'm surprised at the guys recommending a Taurus. While it may be a fine gun, do you really think it's on par with the Les Baer, Nighthawk, Wilson, etc. stuff? Really? :uhoh: +1 The Les Baer was a very good choice. :)
