Carry handle mount for AR-10A2 308

I recently purchased an Armalite AR-10A2 in 308. I wan to put a scope on it but was hoping there is a cheaper alternative to the $70 A.R.M.S. mount. I have a Weaver on my Bushmaster 223, but it does not look like it will mount up. I tried a Famous Maker that I had lying around and it was too...

    Norinco SxS = Colt 1878?

I have an original Colt 1878 and I had a Norinco 99. The only resemblance was they both had hammers. TNN is suppose to be importing one that is suppose to be close, but I have not seen one to comapare.

    Winchester Model 1897 clones?

I have one of the sxs hammer guns for Cowboy Action. The finnish is not that great, wood does not fit well and is a little large and heavy. Now the positive, it was cheap, it works and it goes bang every time. As with anything else, you get what you pay for. You can give $250 for one of the...

    Looking for a 28 gauge

I bought one of the new Mossburg O/U's in 28. It came with five tubes and is made in Turkey. The overall quality of finish is lacking, so if you want something really pretty, take the $7500 one, but for right at $400, its not a bad deal. The first time I took it to the range, I hit 23 out of 25...

S H Harrington 12 ga Belgium SXS info

I recently purchased a 12 ga side by side hammer gun with damascus barrels. I know these were made in Belgium and imported by Crescent Firearms with the name of the hardware store inscribed on the side. I bought it to shoot black powder in as I have an 1878 Colt that has been in my family for...

    model 10-5 s&w

I have a 15-4 that I paid $200 for two years ago. It was unfired, but had been exposed to moisture, so it had some pitting on the barrel and cylinder. I thought I had paid too much as well, but it shoots 1 1/4" groups at 25 yards. The trigger was stiff at first, but now as smooth as any Smith I...

    S & W Revolver info

What you have is a pre-model 10. The serial number indicates it was made between 1945 and 1948. The grips are not standard. The value runs from $95 in poor condition to $300 in excellent, but values are climbing.

    Taurus Gaucho?

I bought a Goucho in 45 Colt right after they came out. Within 50 rds the timing was out the window. The firing pin was hitting on the case head, not the primer. It also was hitting about 6 inches high. I returned it to Taurus and they fixed the timing problem, but stated that with Win...

help me choose ammo for my new nightstand gun

Speer makes a 38 +p load just for short barrels. It's a 135 gr. Gold Dot. This is the load that I use in my Taurus 85UL. It is accurate and controlable. Take a look.

    Kel-Tec PF9?

I waited 8 months for the first two, 5 months on the last two and I have three on order. I carry one off duty and so far it has been 100% reliable (300 rds to date). It is a bit too big for pocket carry so I got a Bianchi #7 for a Kahr which fits great. The trigger is much better that the 32's...

    Anyone know about Colt Anacondas?

I had a 6 inch model several years ago. One of the most accurate 44's I have ever owned, except for the 29-6 I have now.

    .38 Smith and Wesson

The big problem would be that when you found out that it was too hot, you may not have a hand left. 38 S&W ammo is around if you look. I don't think I would shoot it even with the right ammo.

    S&W 1905 4th change square butt

I have a S&W 1905 4th change, made about 1921. It has a square butt. According to Supica's book, this is a rare model. Am I reading right? All of the ones I see on Gunbroker have a square butt. Just wondering.

    What's it worth. S&W M&P 2" 38 1950 vintage

While checking out the local pawn shop, I found a S&W M&P 38 special with a 2 inch barrel and square butt. The serial number indicates it was made about 1950. The finish is excellent with a spot or two of rust where it had contact with something. I would guess from laying on a shelf. No box or...

    Pre War 38/44

I use a chop saw and a backhoe to get rid of the cheap ones. There is a 1917 Brazilian in our evidence room just waiting for the disposal order for me to take it home. Out of about 100 guns in there, that's the only one that keeps me awake at night.
