    problem with an AR-type rifle

A buddy of mine bought an AR-15 and went on line and bought 1000 rounds of the rock bottom cheapest brass cased ammo he could find. He didn’t read the reviews on the site. First round failed to extract. It was locked up tighter than Dick’s hatband the only way to clear it was to collapse the...

    ACP Revolver

I made up some shotshells a while ago using .45 Auto Rim cases and Speer .45 Colt plastic shot shell capsules and #9 shot. I used a 45 ACP taper crimp die to prevent crushing the shot capsule. Those are some scratches and not splits on reloaded cases. Used them several times. They work great and...

    NAA Mini Revolvers

I like them a lot. They are engineering jewels and make a great BUG. These are last resort guns and are not for primary carry. This is my Sidewinder with swing out cylinder. And this is my Ranger 2. The same holster fits either one. I have a holster for each and put boot grips on them for...

My new colt king cobra is here!

I have had no failures to fire with my two 2019 King Cobras. Sweet triggers. The 4-1/4” is the newest, so only a couple of boxes of 38 special 158 grain FMJ practice rounds and a box of 158 grain JSP magnums. Right now it is a range toy until I can get a chest rig for it. Played with it...

I’m new to revolvers and am buying a new king cobra

I have two of the 2019 King Cobras...one with 3” barrel and the other one is the 4-1/4” King Cobra Target. They are great guns. George Bowers at GB Leather Co. from Tennessee made a holster for each. He sells through Etsy.com and through his website. I use both HKS DS speedloaders and...

    Possible New Colt Pythons?

Hmmmmmmmmm...Didn’t know Armscor was using Starline marked brass like some boutique ammo makers do. Hand loads maybe???? Might not have cleaned the primer pockets and failed to seat the primers home? seems to be limited to that brand in the video. Also can’t ride the trigger on these Colts like...

Shopping for a 357 revolver, help!!

I own several GP100 revolvers and with the sole exception of the GP100 Match Champion, their triggers all suck. Very gritty, and heavy. The Match Champion isn’t and is my main ridge walking gun. for everyday carry, I stick with the new Colt King Cobras. Superb triggers, 8 lb double action, 3...

    2020 Python update...

I haven’t seen an “official” recall from Colt, just a couple of bloggers ranting. As I’ve posted before, I own four new Colts, two 38+P Cobras (2017 Cobra, 2018 Night Cobra) and two 2019 King Cobras in 357 magnum, the 3” model and the 4-1/4” Target. Have had zero problems with them so I’m not...

    Python or L-frame?

I’ve got four of the new Colts and plan on adding the new 4” Python to the stable. So far, both Cobra and Night Cobra and the two King Cobras have functioned flawlessly and I haven’t had any issues yet. Ya just can’t ride the trigger on them like folks do semiautos. Some issues are user error...

Need open carry chest rig for 2019 Colt King Cobra Target 4.25”

Thank you. I looked them over too but they don’t list a holster for the new King Cobra. It is smaller than the old model. I plan to call them next week and see what they offer.

Need open carry chest rig for 2019 Colt King Cobra Target 4.25”

That would work...I looked at their website but they don’t list a rig for the new Colt King Cobra. I did send them an email asking if they plan to make one. Haven’t heard back yet...maybe Monday.

Need open carry chest rig for 2019 Colt King Cobra Target 4.25”

Big dilemma...I just got a new model 2019 Colt King Cobra Target with 4.25” barrel and need a chest holster rig. This gun is built on a smaller frame than the original King Cobra so those holsters are too big. It is made on the Colt D - Frame but with the grip set back some, according to Colt...

    Cz 527 optic suggestions

This is my setup. 1-3x scope. I got QD rings either from MidwayUSA or Amazon...cannot remember. The front hood disappears on 3x setting. the pouches are for Mosin Nagant stripper clips but the 7.62x39 CZ 527 magazines fit just fine.

    GP100 .44 Special

Got both of the current 44’s that can handle heavy loads. The S&W model 69 will handle 44 magnums and the Ruger GP100 is rated 44 special +P. I run Buffalo Bore heavy 44 Specials.

    King Cobra Target

Thanks. It’s been on my “get” list since they came out in, I believe, September. Yes, it does, but in a smaller, lighter package. I took him out in the woods yesterday and got ‘em dirty. I will say that it does feel a bit snappy with 158 grain JSP magnums, and I will put the rubber grips on it...

Which (cheap) revolver would be best for me?

I vote for a Charter. Good value, good shooter. Mine is a 3” barrel Charter Arms Classic Bulldog and I carry it in my rotation around the property. Cylinder rotates clockwise like a Colt. Would provide good service until you can upgrade to a new Colt Cobra. I’ve got four of the new snakes and...

    The new Colt King Cobra

Got a whole den of new snakes...out of the box triggers are great. Better than production Ruger’s and S&W revolvers that I have. Yes, worth every penny to me. Very accurate. Very smooth. Svelte is a way of describing the little dandies. Sorta between a Ruger SP101 and a S&W K-Frame in size...

    King Cobra Target

Well...went to the LGS with my friend to look over the new Ruger Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor that he ordered, and lo & behold...in the showcase sat a shiny new Colt King Cobra Target Model, ready to strike. Man, I heard the Velcro tear loose from my hip pocket and my wallet flopped down on the...
