I have a RCBS Precision mic. Most of my brass is under the minimum ( short).
See pic this is 7mm rem mag
i have a RCBS neck resizer but can't bump the shoulder back .001
Am i diong somthing wrong or will this brass just not bump back.

Modern powder, the burn rate increases as pressure increases, pressure increases as burn rate increases. On a burn rate and pressure graph chart it would show an increase to be exponential.
With black powder as the pressure increases the burn rate stays the same, so a graph chart of black...

Thought i new how to use the rcbs gauge? Tell me if this is right.
Go to the range and shoot my remington 700 with winchester factory loads. Take the once fired cases and place one in the gauge and screw the headspace nut down untill it lightly touches the case. Measurment reads 0.001 - 0.002...
My local gun shop has very little in the way of reloading. But he trying to carry as much as he can get. I paid $29.90/1000 of CCI Mag large rifle #250 yesterday.

I see on Hodgdon web site that 67.0 is the starting load for the bullet that i am using. What i don't understand now is in Hornady's new 7th edition reloading hand book it shows 56.8 with 68.5 being max. Hodgdon web site shows the max at 70.0. :confused...
