Another vote for Kahr 9mm, but I actually prefer the increased heft of the K9. It really helps with recoil and makes it very easy to get back on target, even with some of the hotter +P rounds. The trigger is great, especially for those who came up on revolvers.

Regarding the extractor, could you be referring to the newer LCI extractors perhaps?

I have three of their all-stainless pistols and find them to be well designed, extremely reliable and very accurate. I think you made a good decision.

Was there only one issue with yours or did it have multiple problems? I've been looking at the DB and the Micro DE but I really like the feel of the DB.

I have an XD in .45 and I find the recoil to be much softer than the .40 Glock 22. It's very accurate as well and the only drawback at the moment is the cost of .45 ammo relative to either .40 or 9mm.

Wow! Those are gorgeous. I think I would combine the slide from the second pistol on the frame of the first. The grips are especially nice, too.
