Calling all AK, AZ, MT, TX, ID, UT, and S/ND members.

Y'all I am terribly sorry, I meant to say MT for Montana! I did think about Missouri though, something tells me to go further west though if I am to relocate. It does sound like a nice place though!

Calling all AK, AZ, MT, TX, ID, UT, and S/ND members.

So bad news first. I may or may not be leaving my current career. If I have to, I am thinking about perusing a law enforcement career. I currently live in Tuscaloosa, AL. If needed, or the right opportunity presented itself I would not be opposed to the idea of moving out west. From hat I can...

Truck/trail gun, beater Rem 760 vs new $300 cheapo hunting rifle

The RAR is a decent rifle. If I were you, I'd ook for a very used Rem. 700, Savage, Win. 70, sporterized milsurp, etc. Honestly, ARs are very cheap right now, you could build a reliable PSA one for $500. That's what I have in my car as we speak.

Budget build competition with my buddy

Can you buy used? If so, I'd look on here or snipershide.com on their PX to find used rings and an SWFA optic. Would save you money plus get you into a better package. See how the Ruger shoots before you drop it into a stock though, could surprise you.

Another scratch build; Ultralight folding .22 semi-auto.

That's awesome, reliability looks great. What kind of accuracy are you seeing with it?

    Trench Gun!

How are you using the clamore pouches? Are they slung on your body like a bag or what? I've always had the worst time thinking of how to carry extra shells without using a full chest rig such as a vest or body armor set up.

    Shotgun Questions

Just get a traditional 590, 870, Ithaca 37, or some other pump shotgun that has been around for decades. They're reliable, proven designs that have fought wars, rode in many squad cars, a go to HD firearm, and has hunted every animal in North America from birds to bears. Plus they are very...

    Trench Gun!

Yeah, I mean I've got my AR beside the bed, but that is simply because of the balistics of a 55 grain bullet in flesh and sheetrock. But that Mossberg inspires confidence!

    Trench Gun!

Thought about getting the beaded one, but opted for the ghost ring sights. No other firearm I own matches the confidence I feel when I use this firearm.

    DBM vs. Hinged Floorplate

taliv, those are nice actions, but they're push feed 700 clones, not exactly what I'm looking for. I am a huge fan of CRF, mechanical ejectors, and 3-position safties.

    DBM vs. Hinged Floorplate

Well my mind is not entirely made up on the Mausingfield or the Win. 70, its just that I am not looking at other actions (Remington, Remington clones, Savages, etc.) as they simply, IMO, do not compare at all to a more robust CRF, fixed ejecting action. Keep up the replies, its good reading!

    DBM vs. Hinged Floorplate

DBM vs. Hinged floorplate Hello, So in the next year or two I am most likely going to be building a bolt action "utility rifle" that would be used for hunting, target shooting (no PRS games though, I'll get a dedicated PRS rifle if I purser that), and as a "one rifle" concept. I've got a...

    SWFA SS Tactical Scopes

Their awesome optics, you will not find a better scope for the money. I've had the 3x9 and fixed 10x ones. Not one single complaint with either. Unfortuanately I had to sell both, but would not hesitate to buy another.
