I want a heavy barrelled rifle (in 308)....left-handed.
It seems, through my own research, that I only have two options:
1) A Savage 10FLP (about $500)
or a
2) Remington VSF LH. (about $820 or $830)
Only two choices? When it comes to guns, sometime it sucks being left-handed...
I just found out I can buy new 870P from a guy locally for what I think is a good price. It has an 18" barrel and ghost rings. It is a couple of years old, but still new in the box. It is Order/Model #4921. What is the difference between this gun and the model that replaced it, the 4449? Should...
Dang, $113. It would probably be cheaper to buy the model with the mag. extension without the ghost rings. How much are the rings (or some cheaper after market rings)? I can get the gun tapped locally for maybe 40 bucks. Now, I guess I'm going to be looking into the price of ghost rings. That...
dfariswheel...I posted this on ARFCOM also. And, you're right. Which is kind of a pain due to the fact that the gun (a 4449 with a mag extension) is shown but not offered as a stock gun. As far as pricing, I don't know yet. I've got a couple of local shops checking on a price for me. Impactguns...
Lookin' through the Remington Law Enforcement catalog, I can't find a number for the 870P I want. Here's what I want:
1) 870P
2) Speedfeed Stock (not "speedfeed 1").
3) 18" barrel (or 18.5"..whatever it is).
4) +2 Mag extension
5) Ghost Rings.
It seems to me, that this...
Read the article I posted. It talks all about how the left manipulates words and the public. Might be good stuff for your paper/project.

There are other great comments, posts, and links by other members there also.
An SKS, nice. You couldn't have gotten a better first gun:
1) Cheap ammo
2) Reliable and shoots straight
3) Good for defense
4) An older "assault" type weapon that can be use if the S@#T hits the fan.
Nice.
A man with a gun is a citizen. A man without a gun is a subject...
Lock 'em up when you're not there, sure. That only makes sense. But, of course, when you are there....no way to use a locked up gun to protect yourself.
I call this my "I'm an ignorant cheapass" link. As far as handguards, this is what you're looking for:

A few comments:
1) Remember, the antis are never talking about a terrorist take-over scenario. They just don't want potentially dangerous teachers with firearms. And anyone with a gun, automatically, because they have a gun, is dangerous in their minds. This is consistent with their overall...
I agree, that was the best response.

Ramline is also in the process of making new super-standard (note: I refuse to say hi-cap ever again) mags. Back in the day they made good 10/22 mags. They should be shipping pretty soon.
Back to WhoKnowsWho's and Nathanael_Greene's comments yesterday....

say "hi-capacity" magazine again! They are "full" or "standard" capacity magazines. Half the reason we got into this mess in the first place is that the antis fooled even us into calling our...
Lots of companies make good AR lowers. I have a cheaper OLY which some people might not like but it's worked fine for me. Do a search on this site. As far as magazines, they should probably stablize out in the $14 or $15 dollar range, that's for steel, no-name brand. If you want better...
