I'm with the gang- mine is smooth- deadly- easy to carry and a bear our good ole southern hogs! The larger lever loop is a huge asset- I put ghost rings on mine- bought them at Midway- fit like a glove and are dead-on! Go for it!

I love my originals- have 2 Rogers and Spencers that I shoot regularly- and carry as personal defense weapons- its just fun to imagine the look on some thugs face if he came face to face with a Rogers and Spencer! Originals are getting harder to find and are in the $3000 range if shootable

Springfield I'd try B&B Outdoors on Holcomb Bridge in Roswell, Ga. ask for Billy or Bobby or Joel the gunsmith- if he can t fix it they will know who can- great guys! Love trapdoors- killed my first deer with one back in the 70's! Hunt that gun!

Holsters I really like El Paso Leather- I order the same style holster for all my pistols- the Patton model- gives great support- wears well and if I use the same style for all my revolvers- its easier to use them without a thought- hope that helps!
