Just would like a little input from anyone that reloads 10mm auto. What are your favorite loads? I shoot a Glock 20. Thanks,

I've got a Glock 29 and spent a lot of time shooting 180 grain Hornady XTPs until I noticed that I was blowing a lot of powder out the muzzle. It was accurate and the recoil was not that bad. I have since been reworking that load with 800-X. Maybe with a longer barrel you may be able to maximize the potential of that load. The 800-X load shows promise with my shoter barrel.

    You only need one load.

    9.2gr LS behind anything 180gr.

    Blue Dot in my 10mm

I've been a 10mm addict since the Delta Elite came out in the mid-80's. I settled on Blue Dot behind both jacketed and cast bullets.

My favorite mid-range load is 10.2 Blue Dot with a 170 grain cast SWC. Well, I say mid-range, but it's on the warm side, as God intended for the Mighty 10. I've run up as high as 12.2 grains of Blue Dot with great success, but that is a pretty stout load. Maybe that's why the frame and slide eventually cracked on the Delta. But that was after about 12k cycles.

I thought it was cool when Colt replaced both the slide and the frame, for free, and the frame had the same serial number as the original.

I shoot a Delta Elite with a similar load as "Missouri Bullet." Been shooting the Sierra 180 gr JHP over 9.8 gr of Blue Dot. I had worked up this load up to 10.0 gr but started having erratic pressesure signs and backed down .2 gr and have haven't had problems since. However I do practice with much lighter loads using Laser Cast lead bullets. Much easier on me and my pistol. :)

If you are looking for velocity look no further than Longshot. I use 9.2gr Longshot behind 180gr Zero, MG and XTP. This load runs just over 1300fps out of my EAA Elite.
For a very accurate plinkin load I shoot 8.2gr Silhouette with 180 Zero and MG bullets. This load is very accurate in both my DW CBOB and EAA Elite, it runs about 1210fps.

I don't think there is a powder that will outperform IMR 800X in the 10mm. Unfortunately, it is the worst metering powder I've ever used.

Favorite recipes for my G20 are: 180g Sierra HP with Blue Dot 10.2g and 155g. Hornady HP/XTP with 12.8g AA-7. I get velocities of around 1350 fps with the Hornady recipe and very accurate.
