I think an ax would have been better than a lamp.

I'd say a lamp didn't beat the oft-cited "sharp stick in the eye."

Indeed! The girls should be able to attend this freak's imminent execution! I have no tolerance for this scum... the sooner his life is terminated the better.

Am I the only one trying to figure out how much guff he is gonna get in prison for that one?

-Hey, there goes the guy who got beat up by a 9 year old GIRL! *as the big irish man bends our lovable criminal over and spanks him* :D

    (Insert huge laugh here)

This would be hysterical if it didn't involve the attempt on the two girls. As for his stay at the Club Fed, ever heard the term "pillow biter"? As much as it makes me cringe to think of, I have no sympathy for this kind of individual.

So this brings the question: how much lamp is enough lamp?

There's no telling what that guy had in mind. I wouldn't have stopped untill his physical condition was one that would have required buckets and a shovel to remove him from the house.

Glad the girls whooped up on him

    Different Version

    Hi all,

This attempted kidnapping happened fairly close to me in Northern Virginia. Last night's local newscast had a slightly different spin on it.

In the Channel 5 (Fox) version, the parents were woken by the girl's screams. They went into the girl's bedroom, saw the intruder and hit him with everything but the kitchen sink. He escaped but was captured the next day.

My wife looked at me as we watched this on the news and casually mentioned they would not have to look far for the perp if a similar event happened in our house.

I need to check my lamps when I get home. I want to be sure they have sufficient "stopping power".

Reminds me: yrs ago a guy tried to grab a 14yr old girl as she came home from a late afternoon tennis match. Parents had to buy her a new tennis racket as she trashed her's on the perp. Reportedly, at least one forehand smash to the balls, and they weren't the tennis variety! Unfortunately, the bas.. ah, bad guy was able to escape.

    Stay safe.

    we should be ashamed

Here we are laughing at this poor victim of vigilantism!
I mean, this is a clear case of these girls and their parents
taking the law into their own hands! Rebecca Peters and
Sarah Brady would never approve. Good citizens would
have retreated and waited for the proper authorities
to take action. We need 20,000 Lamp Control laws.

Really though we ought to take up a collection and buy
those folks a new lamp. Or two. Heck, a lamp for every
    room in their house!

You're right. I am taking up a collection to buy each of these girls a Ruger Alaskan .454 so that they need not resort to frying pans next time to beat off sick pieces of filth! Who's with me? :neener:
