I just started loading up my two hi-cap mags that came with my 9x19 FN HP-SA. I get 13 rounds in and and find out hey, 14 rounds went in with ease. I am thinking, "cool I got 15 rounders". Nope, 1 more round wont go. Whatup wid dat? I was under the impression you either had 13 or 15 and even 17 and 20's if you wanted but, not 14 rounders.

They are original black mag's that came in the FNUSA/Browning box along with one 10 rounder?

Anyone have any insight they can give me?

Thanks.

I have a couple of 15 round mags for my CZ 75B. It will fit 16 rounds but I have a feeling that it is a bit too much stress on the spring. I have heard that some mags will fit more rounds that what they atvertise but it costs reliability sometimes. So instead of 16 rounds I just stuff 15 in there and am happy with that.

sometimes the spring set well let you get another round, but there is usually not enough slack in the mag to seat it without banging the heck out of your slide. My Sig 229 mags will now hold 11 rounds easily, but they don't want to seat (and who cares now that I have shiny new 12 rounders)
