The oval-shaped grip, because that's the shape that the human hand makes when a fingertip and a thumbtip touch, which happens to be how you grip a pistol.

What do you love most about 1911's?

The feel of an all steel/alloy frame

The knowledge it's a timeless classic

The way it balances in your hand

That gorgeous single stack magazine

Previous memories/experience

The look you just cannot achieve with a striker fired pistol

The fact being on the other end of a 1911 is scarier than a poly frame

The smooth feel of that slide and trigger
