Purchased new in 1970. Model 60 pin barrel I have the original receipt from the original owner along with box. Locks up very tight and timing is great. Had a few scratches but nothing a little polishing did not take care. What would you pay for it? Not looking to sell it just curious as I just purchased it.

In my area, a S&W Model 60 in decent condition without the box and docs will usually swap owners for $250-$300. The upper price range is for the magnum. The revolver is not so much a collectible handgun as it is a nice CCW piece, and that's how it tends to be viewed.

Paid $200 for it. It was very few minor scratches that buffed out with mothers polish. I have the original receipt from the original owner when he got it brand new in 1970. I also have the original box. It also came with the an OLD box of gold dot hollow point 147 grain of regular 38 special. He only ever fired factory ammo through it and believes there may be about 500 rounds through it because he really only used it for 2 years. I did not get it for a collectable I have just wanted a model 60 but did not want a new one.

Yours are nice by the way xavier.
