I think that would be a great event to invite the media. Let people know what suppressed firearms really sound like (instead of Hollywood sound editing). Then start on the public safety/health aspect of it (noise "pollution" and hearing damage).

I'm with El Tejon that suppressors should be taken off the NFA list. Make the antis prove that they contribute to a crime problem.

I added a mailing list link to the web site. Please to to SilencerShootSite and add your email to the list.

I will send out notifications of updates and reminders once in a while.

I am inviting Mythbusters and Mail call, but it is hard to reach them.

Do folks have to take their squeaky shoes off when they go to the firing line? :)

Aren't silencers pretty popular in some countries (Finland?) due to just making it more pleasant to shoot?

Silencers are considered good shooting equipment in EU countries.

Even British shooters can get silencers.

LRM is now a sponsor and is contributing a 77/22 VIDAR for either the raffle or shooting contests. SoundTech and AAC are also giving away cans.

There will be lots of silencers and guns given away -- Troy Sellars/InRange is a new sponsor and is providing an AMD-65 semi auto. ACC is providing several silencers. Some will be given away. Some will be won with shooting contests. Some will be raffled -- to be decided later.

Well, I can think of good reasons for allowing silencers. However, if they were available widely, bad guys would be able to do their deeds more secretively, with less likelihood of notice or capture. I wouldn't want lots of silencers available for criminals to get hold of easily. RKBA doesn't say anything about silencers, so I don't think I am being a turncoat for not caring if they are regulated. If someone wants one, pay the freight. If you are a deserving citizen, you can get one if you wish.

Bad guys seem to get along just fine today. It isn't the government's place to decide if we are all "deserving citizens" or not.

This is an unsubstantiated opinion. If you wish to convert it to "fact," please cite credible references and logical arguments in support.

I read that and I went ROFL... and then I realized he wasn't being sarcastic...

You know what else makes it easy to commit crimes? Guns... and regulating them is still stupid... NEXT!
