3.5lb Scherer Connector

I placed an order today from Midway and decided to throw in a Scherer 3.5# connector for my G20 SF. I have always thought about getting one but they haven't been in stock when I place an order for other stuff (I'm not going to pay $7.00 in shipping for a $10.00 part).
So, who here likes 'em? Hates 'em?
 
I used it until I sold my glock. it helped the trigger some, but it was really helped by the wolff spring kit and some polishing. but it was still a glock trigger. after a while I just gave up trying to make it something it wasn't and bought a single action auto. thought I do miss the glock. it was just so trouble free and simple.
 
i also have a ghost tactical one, but it's my second. the first ghost i got had little dings all over it, and it made the pull seriously rough. the second ghost is smooth as glass. good connectors, but they need to get their QC act together.

never seen a bad scherer.
 
I tried both the Ghost rocket and Tactical, decided I didn't care for them.
I bought a LWD connector and made a copy of their ultimate trigger stop, I really like the way the connector feels, very similar to the stock 5.5, just a bit lighter and has a great reset.

I may want to try a Scherer in the future, but for now I'm thinking the trigger is as good as its gonna get.

it doesn't seem to be a whole lot, its amazing with how utilitarian the glock trigger is that an itty bitty change in connector design can make such a difference in feel.
 
Well, I took 30 seconds today and replaced the stock connector with the 3.5#.
I haven't fired it yet (just dry fire), but the change is noticable. Gone is the take-up before the "click", just a smooth, constant pull......kind of different, but I think I'll like it.
Range report to follow.

i just put in the wollf competition trigger spring along with my ghost tactical 5lb connector and light safety plunger spring-man now this is a light pull! lol

you can try those springs too, you might like the combo even better :)
 
FMJ, you can change out the firing pin spring for a 4#er and it will be better:eek::what:.

Wow659, put a 6# trigger spring in and a 4#firing pin spring and you will be very surprised.

The point where the trigger bar meets the connector needs a lot of polish. Just the tip and and a little bit of the trigger bar and the groove/shelf of the connector where the trigger bar is pushed down by the connector. Another big point of friction is where the trigger bar touches the frame on the right side. No need to polish the frame but making the trigger bar real slick on the frame side will help a lot.
