I ordered a Desert Eagle in this caliber earlier in the week. It had a 6" chromed barrel and was $1195- the last one. Unfortunately, it was sold before the catalog I saw it in ever came out. I know the gun was discontinued by Magnum Research, but I e-mailed Corbon and they claim they will still manufacture ammo for it. I am checking with other dealers to see if their distributors have any left in stock. Has anyone shot a Desert Eagle in this caliber? I know it is the 50 AE necked down to a 44 bullet. How does its power compare to other big bore handgun rounds like the 50 AE, 45 Win Mag, 475 Wildey, 454 Casull, 475 Linebaugh?

Data on all the rest can be obtained at their websites, in loading manuals, and in the reference books published by Krause evry year.
