Guns alone are not the problem to Officer Fawzi. He owns nearly a dozen. He is, however, aggressive about enforcing the law because in D.C. illegal guns are owned by people wanting to commit illegal activities. Officer Fawzi says a legal gun in well-trained hands can save lives: "I think everyone should have a gun in their house for self-defense."
And as for the risk of his gun falling into the hands of the crook? "Train yourself so it won't be used against you. You go to school to learn how to drive. Learn how to use a gun."

Interesting to learn there are still some Americans in Washington, D.C.

This woman understands gun laws don't stop weapons from being in the hands of criminals, why can't most politicians?

I think most of the D.C. politicians blame their crime rate on the surrounding states (like Virginia) that don't have such strict gun laws. If all the states would just restrict firearms like they have, THEN the criminals would have no guns. (Yeah, right. Just like the criminals in Britain don't have guns).

And she's loosing her job...go figure. Not to mention all three officers quoted will be out of work soon, on one pretext or another.
