House Memorial 545 by Representative Neil Combee (R) has been scheduled for a hearing in the House Local and Federal Affairs Committee on Friday Morning, March 22, at 8:00am.

HM-545 relating to Right to Keep and Bear Arms is a Memorial declaring to the President of the United States and the United States Congress, the intent of the Florida House to use all of its authority and power to protect the citizens of the State of Florida against any federal gun control measure that violates the right of the people of Florida to keep and bear arms.

PLEASE IMMEDIATELY E-MAIL Members of the House Local and Federal Affairs Committee and URGE THEM TO SUPPORT HM-545

In the subject line put: SUPPORT HM-545 -- Protect the Second Amendment

It is imperative that you e-mail these Committee members right away. Strong support for this declaration of intent will send a loud message to President Obama and the anti-gun members of Congress.

Ouch.

Done.
As much as I try to believe in our government's decision-making committees that involve politicians.. it pains me to see email responses "deleted without being read".
Email clients can have rules to send certain subject lines straight to the email trash can.

Its called a return receipt.
All major clients (Thunderbird, outlook, etc) can do it.
I set it up on my work computer to see who is actually reading my emails.

Didn't know it applied to my personal account as well.

Ouch! I'd be calling that office. I need to redownload Thunderbird, I miss having stuff like that.

Thanks for the help. Got return reciepts set up in win live mail.

This should help explain why none of my state reps have replied ever!

The thing is you can deny to send them, its like a little popup, but if they don't read it and delete it, I'll know

At least Mr. Kent read it (or at least opened it). Ill try to keep these updated as they come back in.

I am writing to ask you to please support HM-545 and to protect the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America.
Freedom is very important to the American people, it is what makes us who we are and it is because of this love for freedom that we became a nation. Our Rights have been infringed upon enough for the alleged reason of safety even though the facts show we are no safer. If it wasn't against the Constitution, even if stricter control worked Chicago and New York city would be the safest places in the country. That is not so.

I urge you to please support HM-545.

Sincerely,
XXXX

bear in mind many people turn read receipts off because some people use them to admonish those that don't reply fast enough. I am one of those people that disable return receipts.

Just got another one
