Either Sheslinger or myself posted a thread on TFL some time ago regarding our friend who is not anti gun but happens to be deathly afraid of them.

Well she has said that come the new year she just might be up for learning a little bit about shooting.

Anyway she got us a Christmas gift and I view it as a step in the right direction. She got us the NRA 4 pack of mugs. One has various 1911s, one various Berettas, Glocks and finally the M16/AR15 family. There are really nice mugs.

Well it's a step in the right direction. Before she knows it she will be uttering those fateful words....can we get more ammo?

I know how you feel, I have a lady friend from work who was deathly afraid of all firearms at one time, didn't even want to be in same room as a gun,thought guns were a invention of the devil,saw no need for them at all. Well I got her to to a Thunderroads cowboy shooting event back in September, and while she was hanging on to me for dear life when we first got there,by the end of the day she wanted and got her picture taken with one of the lady shooters. Thursday morning after Christmas I took her to a indoor range I fequent because she wanted to try shooting a rifle,took her through her safety procedures,and she shot a carbine in .22,she loved it,and was hitting the targets also which were paper plates! She's still skittish of pistols,which she got to shoot also,but now she wants to step up to a higher caliber in rifle. I'm going to sit her down and talk about her taking the basic pistol & rifle courses,so it looks like another anti has been turned.The look on her face when she shot for the first time,and hit the target was priceless.
