Anyone seen my keys?

Im not a locksmith, but I am a volunteer firefighter with a skill in forcible entry. The difference is when the locksmith is done, you can still use the lock.

The important thing is not damaging the weapon. Extra care in blocking the lock is needed to ensure any force applied is not transferred to the weapon. After that a screwdriver close to the size of the key slot and a hammer is needed. Force the screwdriver into the slot and turn. You'll be surprized how easy it is.

Here in CA, we get to buy a cable lock if the gun does not have an internal lock. I have so many, that maybe come Christmas, I will decorate the tree with cable locks only. :D

In Pa. the state reps all have boxes of them to give away. They make good gate locks and I've seen them holding bike seats to the frames.

They make nice dog collars too

Thanks for the offer Adrien. I need to order a new firearm anyway. :)

A friend at work has some working knowledge of picks and has a set--I'll see if that does the trick.
