Does anyone make a hard case for the AR-15 that splits the lower and upper receivers? So you can case them apart, and also has room for mags and whatever else. I have searched everywhere, and I couldnt find one, but I thought Ive seen an ad for them before in some gun magazine.

Thanks in advance.

I know Cav Arms has a soft-case version:

But for a hard case, I'd recommend looking in paintballing sections of stores, as that would be about the right size for a split AR. Not sure how well those would hold magazines, however.

If money isn't an issue, I'd look at Pelican cases, as I know they make some really nice ones (waterproof and all that). Here's an example of one of their weapon cases: http://pelican.com/cases_detail.php?Case=1700
Not sure if that was what you were looking for. You might have to look for a case that is the size you need for your AR.

I was going to suggest the RRA blue case as well. I have one that the gun came in - although as stated it isn't much good except for shipping and storage.

I was looking for a nice lockable foam inserted case. I have seen one before, company was Starlight. I just found it in a gun mag, It was holding an Armalite Super SASS. hmmm.... I looked on their site, but its about useless, I will have to contact them and see if they make them, or I may just have to buy a case, and make my own cutouts.

Pelican?

edit: Nevermind... my suggestion (Pelican 1700) was already mentioned.
