does anybody know where I can buy parts to a basic ar15 collapsible stock? I was given one that had been screwed up. Somebody drove out the pins and messed up the threads on the screw for the quick adjustment lever. I would like to buy the 2 pins and the screw.

Bare minimum I would like to know what thread pitch that screw is so I can get the right tap to try and clean the threads up on. I can probably make pins out of nails.

thanks RC. Couldn't find the name of that thing, and couldn't find it at brownells. (it was hiding under pins, not butstocks parts)

I'd just buy yourself another collapsible stock and be done with it.

You mean you would throw away a $100 stock because it needs a $12 part??

I'd like to go dumpster diving at your house!

I'm going to see if I can recut the threads first, but they're pretty much gone on 2 sides, and when you combine that with the hole in the nut for a pin to go throughit starts skipping threads instead of screwing on.

I wish I could find a $6 dpms part instead of a $12 colt part though :) Do you think this is it? http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Products/293930A.htm it's under car15 instead of ar15.

nope. no markings whatsoever. the circular spot where a marking usually would be is blank. But most importantly, it's free.

That is a very basic six position stock and can be had for $50. Buy the time you track down the right screw and make sure the existing stock has not been damaged, you would be well served going new. Sorry, just my two cents!
