Well, I'm going to the combat chess thing at desert marksman in lancaster on the 10th. You are all invited.

It's like normal chess, except it's got shooting in it. The participants are divided into two teams, and each team has one participant playing the part of each chess piece, and one person actually playing the chess. Whenever pieces interact, (one is going to take another one) the action is resolved in a man vs man string of fire, so you get a situation where pawns take can take queens in self defense, and what haveyou.

Holy moly. Why was I thinking it was chess at 5 Dogs? All this talk...so confused...

OK, I've already committed to combat chess with the Wyatts on the 10th in Lancaster, so that's where I'll be. Sorry for the confusion. But I'm still down for Bakersfield shootage in the near future.
