I have a Firestorm .22 that I've owned for a couple of months now, and have a couple of hundred rounds through it. It is somewhat ammo-sensitive. It eats 40 grain solids all day, but 36 grain hollowpoints won't reliable cycle the slide on the first one or two rounds. The last eight 36 grain rounds from the 10 round mag work fine, though.
I originally intended the pistol to be a "trainer" for my Makarov. In the end, considering that the safety worked in the opposite manner and that the trigger pull was significantly different from that of the Mak, I decided to buy a .380 version of the same pistol.
I think this is really the hot setup - I have a .22 to practice with in my back yard (using a bullet trap), and a .380 for concealed carry.
Yes, it's unfortunate that Bersa only supplies one magazine with the pistol. I'm trying to buy a second mag now.
I was originally going to get the Bersa Thunder version of the pistol, as the only difference is the hooked trigger guard on the Thunder (seems that more holsters are available for it), but for some reason, all the Bersas are unobtainable right now. I asked my FFL to see if he could get the Firestorm version, and he wa able to order one in for me.
